It’s interesting that the 249g label appears to be on the battery and not the actual drone body. I wonder if there will be multiple battery sizes available. A lightweight low capacity version that keeps total weight under 249, and a full capacity version that is over 249g. This would be ideal in the US, especially if the lightweight battery is light enough to run prop guards and still be under 249g. This would allow class 1 operation over people with just a battery swap, but at the expense of a shorter flight time.

Good call.

Now that's an interesting thought!

That would be excellent, if true.

Where the 249g label is on the underside, the two landing pads are on both sides of the label.
Could the bottom of the batteries have the built in small landing pads molded into the battery casing.
Or is this part of the molded casing.Looks pretty strange.

Interesting

Well, the obscuring white stickers covering any labels looks an awful lot like what they do for early reveal/teaser pics of new cars.

May be mundane – scratch protection on the prototype – or something exciting and newsworthy, so they're keeping it hidden.

239g? 😁

And anyone that scoffs that can't be done with feature set we've been discussing... You're not an engineer.

Jup, they already claimed that OA could not be done under 250gram, yet they still spout their “knowledge”

I think it’s most likely covering up serial numbers etc so DJI can’t tell who leaked photos of their early review unit.

Yeah this is a good theory. If there are any more features I’ll be mind blown in a good way
