The surface is textured everywhere and my dymo stickers will not stick to anything except the top of the battery. Which doesn't conform to the rules. My writing is horrible so a sharpie is out, is there other options?
Thanks

Thank you mine is registered because I use nothing but the long range batteries.Mini 3 is exempt from registration ( below 250 grams) @pilotinstitute offers free stickers that work great

I will look into the stickers, as rough as the surface is I didn't thing anything would stick to it.
Forgot about that...puts you over the weight limit.......on the 4 pro, those batteries activate RID...do they do that on the 3, also?Thank you mine is registered because I use nothing but the long range batteries.

Yes it does, which makes running the small batteries problematic. So I sold the battery that came with the unit and bought another plus battery. Which was cheaper then buying a rfid unitForgot about that...puts you over the weight limit.......on the 4 pro, those batteries activate RID...do they do that on the 3, also?
For my Mini 3 Pro, I run all large batteries too but I kept one small battery just because. I believe Mini 3 Pro has rid anyway so since I had it registered, makes no sense trying to run light. Now I can attach skins, strobes,...whatever else.Yes it does, which makes running the small batteries problematic. So I sold the battery that came with the unit and bought another plus battery. I have a handwritten paper strip ID label stuck to the top of my mini3 with basic household sellotape/sticky tape/whatever you call it. It doesn't seem to be that well attached at first glance, but it has been firmly in place for approx 2 years now without any sign of coming unstuck, despite a few flights in mist and fine drizzle. As you say your handwriting isn't the tidiest just do what @MS Coast suggests and print your ID out with a printer, then trim the paper down to smaller than a strip of sticky tape so that the tape can stick down onto the drone body around all 4 edges of the paper label.Another option:
Print a label on the laser printer, cut it out, attach to the drone using a piece of translucent cellophane tape covering the entire label.
