Haven't tested my Mini 4 Pro for a while (September) so I turned it on to find these new update. Are these ok to update? Will it change my settings? November. 2025 update.
Probably just an oversight! LOL!They haven’t changed the manual yet!
FOLLOW UP ON Nov. 2025 UPDATE HERE:Might possibly surreptitiously activate RID when flying with the standard Mini 4 Pro battery, like they did on the Mini 5 Pro! If it ain’t broke, don't go fixin' it!
If you have that sort of connection with and influence over DJI, I'll send you a list of software modifications I'd like to have implemented. I suspect others have things they'd like done, too. They only changed the M5P manual when I finally convinced them that mine wasn't defective,
No connection and no pull. Just social engineering. I pitted two DJI reps against each other and told them they better figutre out who was wrong! They couldn’t both be right! It was overwhelming evidence of either every standard battery M5P drone in the U.S. was defective while broadcasting RID, or their User Manual was wrong, saying it wouldn’t broadcast RID. Confront HAL 9000 with his own mistakes, and he either self destructs, or he surreptitiously changes the user manual overnight to hide his mistake! LOL!If you have that sort of connection with and influence over DJI, I'll send you a list of software modifications I'd like to have implemented. I suspect others have things they'd like done, too.
This is a further follow up. I took the Mini 4 Pro out for a spin again and found no problems after the update. Relieved.FOLLOW UP ON Nov. 2025 UPDATE HERE:
The full update was done successfully and this morning it flew beautifully and it seems as all of my settings remained unchanged. I am not yet sure what, if any, new tricks I have gained. Perhaps I am now able to see the sensor views.

I'm sure you convinced them.Probably just an oversight! LOL!
Give them time to catch up.
They only changed the M5P manual when I finally convinced them that mine wasn't defective, as they had been claiming for a week, because it was broadcasting RID, by providing proof that all the others in the U.S. were also broadcasting RID, too!
They then had two choices. Prevent the RID broadcasting with the standard M5P battery, through a FW update, to be consistent with the manual, or change the manual. Unfortunately, they chose to change the manual, deleting the no RID statemen
