Probably asked before but I have been experimenting with all the Dronie modes on the DJI Mini 2.
The tutorial shows you can set the distance in circle mode but discovered myself and online this is actually not available on the Mini 2. I am OK with that but want to understand the limitations.
However, I have read that it should keep the same distance from the selected object from the origin. This does not appear to be the case and the circle expands. I have attempted several times to simply select myself standing in a relatively open area with myself positioned about 15-meters from the start. However, the circle seems to expand to up to possibly 30-meters as it flies.
In at least one case, I had to abort since it was flying towards a tree. I had to increase the height in the next attempt to avoid the tree.
I would very much like to keep the circle tighter and just above the top of my head. Having to turn to watch the drone to make certain it is acting as you want kind of defeats the purpose of the video you are trying to capture.
Anyone have this experience and know of a way to keep the radius tighter?
BTW, love this drone and have not had any crashes yet after many times out! Sure it will happen.
