Don't care about "lidar" - is it really a lidar or 2 time of flight cameras? But the camera housing looks bigger, a hope for a larger sensor perhaps?

no chance for a bigger sensor because they have the 3s to sell
and because mini should stay mini

i dont see any major camera upgrade
i think it will be faster
and it will have a better range
and longer fly time

That would make then three mini models in a row with the same size sensors

at least it will be better than the Air line which has the Air 2s and Air 3s with a 1" sensor and the Air 3 with the same size sensor as the mini 3

there's not much room for upgrade in the camera area when using a sensor of the same size

same with phones and action cams, same size more or less, same image quality more or less for a few years

small devices = limited image quality

I've also been waiting for a mini with a really good camera for a long time but no chance

Yup,do not know how much further they can go in sensor size
