I'm fascinated by all the Mavic Mini accessories popping up on eBay.

Are landing legs a good idea? Do these look any good?:

got the leg extenders from Ebay I registered the mini they work great on the Mavic Mini. so no worries about weight.

the only thing i would say about them is in a crash because they extend the leg they are more prone to damage ,its like using a long bar on a socket to apply more force ,so when it hits it applies more torque to the leg

I'm thinking the same thing about landing legs. I always had to land my phantom on a piece of plywood because it would tip over occasionally on my grass lawn with those tall landing legs. I just hand catch the Mavic's. Take off is another issue. You can launch the same way if you have to.

I have taken to hand launching and landing my mini as well to keep my camera out of the dirt, I don't expect I will often find myself in terrain flat and level enough to launch well off the ground, but it works well from the hand.

By the way, unlike the Phantom which already has a high center of gravity, adding landing legs to a Mavic doesn't raise CoG much, and they don't land hard like the P3 does.

The Mini can be easily launched from hand and also get catched by hand. That ensures that no ground dust can enter its body and motors. So no need for any leg extensions and similar nonsense which prevents it from fitting into its case, increases chance for breaking the legs and just increases weight for nothing.
For hand-catching just grab it from the front side, so its sensors will not see your hand. Then keep down the throttle stick and it will shut down.
I did so from the very beginning and except for indoor flights on carpet my Mini never had direct contact to the ground.
