Hi guys. Appologies if this has been asked before. When out flying the other day I noticed that on the transmission screen on my phone it had changed to 2.4ghz. Previously it had been on 5.8ghz. Is this an automated feature of the mini mavic now?

Thanks for the quick response. I just checked and it's back on 5.8ghz. I was curious as I've seen someone on YouTube explaining how to put it into 2.4ghz mode by a so called "hack." Confusing when it's already a feature.
Only joined this forum yesterday and already I'm much wiser. Great stuff.

My memory isn't so good but from what I remember, the FCC hack will allow you to fly further than 2km range of the UK mini.

2.4/5 is dependant on your surroundings, open space, interference etc. Haven't had the need to change mine from auto- if you look at it in settings, you want the channel in green with the lowest interference, and auto has always done that for me ;)

Ah, makes sense now. I'm more than happy to keep it where I can see it. I can't take the adrenaline rush when it disappears any more.?

I lost VLOS of mine on a golf course a while back- thought I'd turn the gimbal down to work out where I was but all I saw was a mass of bunkers and greens... Didn't exactly help! Quick check of the map and it was nowhere near where I thought it was. Lesson learnt

Coming from a fixed wing RC background it's all new to me. Being able to use the map, use the camera plus the rth feature is a huge bonus. I admit to a moment of panic though when I first lost sight until I realised that upon centering the sticks it would stop and hover in place, allowing thinking time.

dont forget the pause button on the MM RC ,on the MM controller the RTH button has two functions a quick press is pause, and a press and hold is RTH ,if you ever find yourself disorientated or heading towards a big tree, that suddenly jumped in front of you out of nowhere in sport mode, just hit the pause button ,give it a try sometime, without the tree
