Cancelled order from dji shipped even after DJI said in chat that it was cancelled? Anyone experienced this before?

Latest update.

Courier arrived this morning and did not even ring the doorbell. He skulked around the back of the house, left the package down and ran!

A half hour later DHL head office called me to check if I had received and apologised for the behavior of their driver. I said not to worry about it.

So now I am possession of a mini 5 pro that I will keep.

The whole purpose of buying it was to cheer myself up and an early birthday present.

I have to say that the only thing I'm not impressed with so far are the ND filters, they feel really cheap and flimsy. I know these were likely made to keep weight down but by god they are fiddly little things.

Also not impressed with the altitude limit. They provide the stickers but if you apply through the rc2 you are told it may take 30 days. This is annoying as I am already certified in open class so simply sending a photo of the licence should be enough.

Other than that it's a nice piece of kit and I am looking forward to flying it.

It is a great drone- enjoy it and have fun. You have a beautiful country to get some fabulous shots. Throw some up when you get the chance!

Thanks so much for your kind words. It's funny but I would say the same about your country as spent many memorable months Ice climbing in BC and loved it.

Very lucky where I live, it was a slow journey to get my house built but it's carbon and cost neutral and literally €0 to run heating, ventilation, cooking, etc so a €0 bill every month is always welcome and credit towards the winter which is already well in gear in Autumn! . I live in a smallish village but over here broadband band is an essential service so I get up to 1.8,gbps just as well as I work from home a lot and put in the wiring for the mother of all mesh networks in when building lol

I think nearly 30 lakes within 15 mins of the house and 30 mins west brings me to the coast and burren national Park which is an amazing and ancient geo park. If you are ever here, definitely a sight to behold and so much coastline.

Im hoping to get out today and Reacquaint myself with flying after a few years break.

If I shoot anything good I will share. My last new drone was mini 3 pro which I still have and an air 2s as I tend to keep them rather than sell.
enjoy, it is a wonderful drone
Thanks so much. Things really moved on since the mini 3 pro! I skipped the 4 as I was living in the subburbs of the capital and no fly restrictions made it miserable to own drones lol
Lols - brought back a memory or 2 - my Mini4P was left, unsigned for, on the doorstep, at some total randomer's house about 500 yards away from mine !
Lol that's exactly what happened here. I ran after him, one arm in a sling but he pretended he couldn't see me and whirred outta here in his EV van 😂
Lots of similar stories including a €1500 graphics card lobbed over my ten foot rear gate in the middle of winter and not seeing it for days in the rain. When I complained, he said ', I thought amazon just sold books" so I wonder how many electronics claims he cost them. I still laugh on that to this day! I thought, only in Ireland but obviously not 😂😂

Sounds like you should try to get credit from NHS or your equivalent. If I read your post correctly you are recovering from a procedure involving/affecting mobility/function? That may enable your new purchase to be categorized as a rehabilitative device for OT or PT (occupational or physical therapy). Either directly or as an incentivizor. Good luck, post pictures. Maybe captions can be listed as "progress notes"

Latest update, DJI, on their own initiative, emailed me about the courier issue and gave me a gift of €20 to my account

DHL rang and apologised for the behavior of their driver.

So all in all a good result. Just waiting impatiently to get out and fly it.
