Yes and you use the DJI assistant software to do firmware upgrades, other than that windows wont see it as any kind of useable device

I starded dji assistant app, connected remote usb and nothing happens, wondering maybe my cable is bad

Ok I got another cable and the its, working. Wondering if any fly FPV fly simulators is working with this remote?

No, there's nothing you can do with it other than update firmware.

From DJI only the FPV RC2/3 can be used as a generic controller for simulators.

In general DJI Products, firmware should be avoided, unless you know what you are going to gain.
I mostly familiar with the P3*,
Firmware for the bird.
Firmware for the remote.
Firmware for the batteries.

What is cool about this forum is the members and mods.
If I'm posting something that a member thinks its incorrect, they will speak up.

Ok, also Im interested in waypoint flight, as I googled natively its not supported, but I can use third partly apps. Is there any for free?

I fly the DJI Mavic Mini and use Litchi app to fly waypoints, orbits, and more with Litchi. Its not free (cost me onetime $26.00 through google play) but for me it was $$ well spent for the added capabilities flying my Mavic Mni.

Yes. I believe so. Afterwards they dropped "Mavic" from future models is my understanding..

My self doing a lot of litchi missions, if the MM1 looses signal from the remote it does a auto RTH.
Trees in my area, if the signal or any hiccup between the remote and the bird.
Its going to go strait up.
