All that's needed now is a side by side proof showing the crappy design/performance of the stock antenna

The antennae just have to have the same (roughly) attenuation, as the stock ones to work...I forget what the spec term is but it's on the sheet s'where

Have installed SMA connectors on a new Mini3 remote today. Waiting for antennas to arrive now. Signal tests will be done then.
Looks clean, installation is very easy. Could be the easiest mod for Mini3 ))

Full 5 bars at 3000m in CE mode look impressive. Can/t wait for my 8dbi antennas to arrive now. Have attached connectors today ))

Hi, here is another modified RC.
Unfortunately I'm not getting too much improvement over stock antenna.
all test done at 120m height
original antenna in town 600m and in field 1400m
Now with "6dbi" antennas in town 750m and in field 1750m.
I also tried "8dbi" antenna which is longer but result is worst than 6dbi.
Any suggestions?

Interesting. And please remember, a "strong" signal is not necessarily a "better" signal.
Antennas and RX/TX is tuned to the installed antennas.

On the RC-N1 I used an home made dual biquad antenna that can be used in both horizontal and vertical polarization.

I made a modification so that I can continue to use both the original antennas and connect the self-made antenna.

I don't know if I will do the same thing on the DJI RC.

Finally! Someone who made a dual biquad.
I keep telling folks that if you want an antenna mod go with a design that actually works.
How are you liking it? Share your pics?
I had one for my old MP and it was a vast improvement.
