Missing Mavic

Hi fellow pilots, I have a disturbing question.

Can the Mavic be traced the aircraft alone is stolen and I still have the controller?
Remembering that the controller may be purchased separately.

Had a horrible dream of this last night...

I dont think so. Unless they are both turned on at the same time and within range of each other. If the Mavic gets a GPS lock It is possible for the app to get a location.
Then you would get a shot at "find my drone " app.
But best answer IMO is NO.

Ouch.... Not quite what I wanted to hear...

Perhaps DJI should put some kind of securities in place in the next update.

Best I take extra care of it then.

No. The best you could do is attach a GPS tracker to it. The thief could certainly remove it though.

I’m curious...how did it happen? Was it a flyaway? I’m so paranoid my sphincter gets tight when I lose sight of the beast.
