Hello everyone,

Today i would like to share a video of Mostar. This city in Bosnia and Herzegovina is well known for its bridge (Stari Most), which is also prominently starring in this video. Mostar is an amazing destination in a country that can be considered an absolute hidden gem. I can recommend a visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina to everyone!

I really enjoyed viewing this film. The city is filled with beautiful sights, especially the Old Bridge and the towering mosques, all set in a beautiful valley with red roofed homes and other buildings. The bridge is a World Heritage site. The flying was perfect- nice and slow, with several excellent circles around mosque towers. My only regret is that you mostly filmed in very harsh lighting, creating deep shadows in the details of the river valley. Sometimes, if possible, I choose a more overcast day or when the sun is not so bright if I cannot bring out the shadow details in post. All in all, a great film to view.

Very nice video for a beautiful video and very interesting choice of music. Is the music native to the country and/or area? It almost sounds like there's Spanish influence in the music.

Agreed that lighting wasn't perfect everywhere. I was only for one day in Mostar and since it was November I was grateful that there was any sun at all, as it's not exactly a guarantee during that time of year. I recorded this in the early morning when there was not that much people out yet and although on one side the light was nearly perfect, it was too bright on the other side. I tried to circumvent this a bit by not filming the sky, but it remains suboptimal. Actually, later that day I wanted to get the drone out during golden hour but the battery of my phone was too low to film. I tried to do the best under the circumstances given and I'm happy that overall the video is enjoyable, even if things could have been better.

Thank you! This song is an instrumental version of a beautiful Bosnian song called Lejla, by Hari Matar Hari. It features many elements of traditional Bosnian music, which has a strong overlap with other Balkanic traditional music. The Spanish feel may be because Spanish guitar music (especially from Andalusia) has influences from Arabic music and many people feel that Balkanic music has a bit of an oriental feel to it as well. So there might be some similarities there.

Very enjoyable flight around Mostar.
The music was a nice choice and as soon as it started it was 'hang on, I've heard that before'. A good entry that year. Hmm maybe I am getting old after all.
Thank you very much! And I refuse to acknowledge that knowing this song makes you old. We just know a good Eurovision classic!
