I would appreciate comments on these two products from anyone familiar with both.
It appears they are about the same price - so which way do I go? I like the idea of being able to keep the drone in sight as well as seeing
DJI App screen but, in practice, which one is the more useful upgrade from the standard controller?

If you get the 35-E moverios you may NEED the smart controller, or the back of a car to fly from.

Moverios are great, but they are not user friendly, require a bit of DIY.
If you want them for VR & AR, your going to Need the Solitaire Ace googles.

As mentioned if your eyeing the 30E or 35-E, you will need a HDMI out tablet. Basically
the Nvidia Shield (discontinued) or the smart controller/Crystalsky.

My personal advice would be to keep using your mavic controller (assuming your using MAvic).
Buy the best pair of Plastic VR goggles (Bobo V4 reccomend) on eBay, get Litchi and fly VR using cardboard.
If you want to see your Drone at any time just press a button on controller to switch to AR thorugh your mobiles
camera.
If your phone is around 600 ppi, it is as good or better experience.
If your phone isn't great, maybe it's time to upgrade using this money to have a better controller and great VR option

There I just saved you $2000 depending

I’m using the Epson BT 35e’swith the DJI smart controller and considerate this the perfect setup for many reasons. The Epson glasses are extremely user-friendly especially when paired with the smart controller.

Nothing compares to having a 320 inch HD screen floating in front of you while still being able to see your drone and having the smart controller bright screen as a second view for an observer.

It's nice to have a screen to navigate with too. I forgot that about the BT-300's

Does the smart controller power the interface aswell, or do you still need a powerbank?

I have both and the 35e's. If I had to chose between the the SC and the 300's I would take the Smart Controller. I agree with Flynsign the SC and the 35's are perfect. The SC will power the 35 module. The 300's battery is built in.

Theres no battery in the 35-E interface, its need power from micro usb B.

But there is a USB-C port on SC, which supports power AND video out (If it's true Usb-C)
Which would mean you dont even need a HDMI cable for the Interface.

it's a bit of a catch. The SC is great, but as far as I can see Only really if you have Moverios.

So last thing id say is maybe test the glasses out if the goal is to have both.

PS: Get the 30-E model if you want to use the Solitaire goggles, as the 35-E glasses dont fit it.
Another reason to try them on, as the goggles are infinitetly more comfortable

good luck

Not true, I've tried it - the only way to get a video signal out is through the HDMI port on top of the Smart Controller.

So it's just for fast charging.
Im guessing you try with a good 3.1 cable?
anything under only transmits power.

Why do they omit tech
it would cost $5 to implement a good 3.1 C port.

They could have made the controller a must have item
if it had more features/compatibility, but it's more of a I've got the money, what the hell type purchase.

O well

I get video and power from my SC to my 35e no problem through usb c. 1 wire does it all.

So it was the the cable.
I guess props to DJI after all
The cynic in me makes me think they are working with Epson, but who cares if it works.

I like your setup.
Can i ask, Would the interface fit higher up in the groove in the back,
a bit more integrated, or would it not feel right in your hands?

OP seems to have dissapeared, but it thought id show him what the alternative is.

There is an economic alternative to the Nvidia Shield K1 8 "and is called Teclast P80 PRO MT8163 Quad Core 3G + 16G 8" Android 7.0 with HDMI output. With a small power bank he puts himself in the pocket with the BT 35E box.

Are you using the Teclast P80 Pro with your Moverios? Any lag in the video?

Stai utilizzando Teclast P80 Pro con i tuoi Moverios? Qualche ritardo nel video?
[/ CITAZIONE]

Mi dispiace ma non ho fatto i calcoli del ritardo.

Non importa i calcoli del display, puoi notare qualche ritardo video con i tuoi occhi?
