MP go farther in regular or sport mode?

Question for long distance runners: will the MP go farther in regular or in sport mode? Although you'll get there faster in sport mode, won't the battery drain faster? I'm counting on having enough battery to return home.

It's just like your car, driving at max speed is no the most economical.
You'll get best miles/battery by flying close to max speed in P-GPS mode.
