MPP activation/registration process

Hi,
Does someone have an answer for this question:
My MPP is actually NON activated/registered to DJI.
During the activation process, will it oblige me to upgrade to latest v01.04.0100 fw or not...?
I was delivered with fw v01.04.0000
I know it should ask me in what country I am flying, but is that all...?

You never have to update the firmware. At some point it might limit your flight but you never have to update.

But I forgot to ask...
Do you have to register/activate both AC & RC or can you only
activate the craft...?

You need to activate your aircraft in DJI GO. The remote controller does not have an activation process.
