The biggest thing I never liked about the Mavic drone line was the remote control, it’s why I choose to never get one till the M3 came with the 4/3 sensor making it irresistible.

I can’t get smooth quality flying when using my thumbs or even holding a remote, I use my fingers and hold the joysticks like pens with the remote on my lap. I really love the fact I can use the 1/4 inch mount threads on the RC aftermarket device holder and place the entire RC on a tripod. Completely upgraded the experience of flying a drone, and it wasn’t even DJI that made it happen. Holding a remote and using your fingers to fly nice smooth turns I always found challenging, and never cared for the neck strap. Only thing I’m missing now is and HDMI output on the remote, which isn’t really needed.

What device holders do you use, and do you fly with your thumbs or fingers?

I personally fly with my thumbs when flying for the sake of flying. But when I'm trying to get smooth footage, I'm a pincher. :)

My Favorite things: The Mav 3 is exceptionally agile, speed is consistently high, great wind resistance, tele zoom is better than reviewers describe, battery life is incredible, and range is excellent. It's low light filming is great as well.
