I love this landscape of trees and rocks. I have set my Mavic 2 zoom on cinilike for raw footage and then this is a first attempt at colour correction using iMovie.

Basic I know, but what do you think?

Colour looks great - and interesting to see the Zoom doing its thing (I have a Mav Pro) ... Looks like you need to work on some gain & gimbal settings to get panning and vertical moves a bit smoother - but great! And incredible countryside ...

Thanks for your feedback, what do you recommend for gains or is it a personal preference thing?

There are some recommended settings for the 'yaw' gain setting (reduce from 25 to 20) to smooth out the turns, but the settings that really helped me were the Gimbal settings ... There are a lot of YouTube video's out there, but this one does show it well ...

I too and in Perth (Mandurah).

I hzve a pro. Shoot in D-log and bought a set ok LUTs to use in post.

Also use an ND32 filter most of the time.

Suggest your video needs a little more "lift" but that is just me.

Welcome to tje world of video.

Thanks Bushie, iMovie is quite limited with colour correction and the M2z doesn’t have the option of D-log yet.
Good to hear you are local, we certainly have plenty of options to go fly at.

I would like to see it slowed down a bit so I could enjoy the scenery more but that is personal preference.

You can try using Tripod mode to slow down the controls, its a quick and easy way to slow things down allowing you to concentrate on the footage more.

The images still looked slightly on the flat side for me but the scenery was great. I muted the music straight away, sorry.

Thanks for the feedback, and of course slower speed would have matched slower music.

Thanks for your feedback, I had actually speed parts up for a sense of action so yea, personal preference does play a big part

I thought it might be a bit flat too, the adjustments are so limited in iMovie. Mr Bowie probably hated me using his music too, RIP.

I have read up on it but I wasn’t sure my 2013 iMac would have the speed to make it worth trying. It looks good though.
Do you find it easy to use?

DR is very full featured. I doubt even pros use all of it. I am a long time user of premier pro but still found DV a fairly steep learning curve but well worth the effort. I am slowly going through all my old video and re-editing it and the improvement is amazing.
