I'm wondering...

I encountered a problem where I am unable to go into FIXED wing mode previously and I message DJI help..

the help asked me a curious question, he asked me whether I was flying towards the sun or have any obstacle warning when I couldn;t activate the FWM..

so my question... if there is poor ambient light and obstacle avoidance reports not enough light to fully function, will this affect FWM?

I'm only guessing from reading about an apparent dump into the water of someone's Mavic, but the mention of direct sunlight might be because it could be interpreted as an imminent collision. Not to say that lack of light isn't a problem for various advanced features though.

Ok...

Need the help of any Kind souls in this forum..

Any of you do night flights occasionally with the Mavic...?
If any, can you try out something for me and let me know what you find out..

Try to fly in Fixed Wing Mode at night and let me know whether it works for you or not..
Thankz..

Hi there
I canot get into fixed wing mode in low light condition.
Will try to disable obstacle avoidance system..
And see what will happen...

It's alright.. I can confirm with you that Fixed wing mode will not work when the obstacle sensors are reporting an error due to low ambient light..

Tried it myself and night flying is a no no impossible issue for fixed wing mode.. haha
