Not sure the OP did check CASA website, or the OpenSky app, the official map to discover airspace ok for drone hobbyists to fly.

OpenSky app has this web based version for planning pre trip OpenSky

Early into 2020 we will have a new hobbyist registration process coming into effect, no sure date as yet, but pretty much similar to what we are seeing in the US, UK, etc.
