Hello,

yesterday after i take off the aircraft start to go left by it self without touching the remote i tried to control it but it was already hit the wall and crashed after 17 sec only

DJI Flight Log Viewer - PhantomHelp.com

would you please check the log and let me know what could be the reason ?

i already sent to DJI support and still waiting.

Thanks

Shortly after taking off, the GPS signal dropped to one bar and your Mavic started drifting with the wind. You then moved the right stick to the left which caused your Mavic to speed up in the direction it was drifting.

Thanks,
but it wasn't windy !! what can cause this GPS issue ? i didn't get any warning about interference!!

but it wasn't windy !!
According to your local weather report, the wind speed was at a max of 7.7 MPH at that time. So, the air was most definitely moving at some point.

what can cause this GPS issue ?
It appears you were flying between some tall buildings.

i didn't get any warning about interference!!
Right. Interference wasn't the cause of this issue.

Always be aware of the GPS indicator at the top of the screen. Green is good. If it turns yellow (ATTI) you have no GPS lock and the AC will behave very differently. You do still have complete control, but the AC will not hold a stationary hover. It will also not know where Home is if you initiate RTH, since it will have lost it's bearings. (GPS)

I had a Mavic Air and took off once before it had established GPS lock without realizing it. It was all over the place and at first I thought it was because I had just done a FW update. But then the voice said home point recorded and the indicator changed from Yellow to Green. I had missed the fact that it had not recorded home point or given the green indicator. From that day forward, I pay closer attention to that indicator and will not take off until I hear that home point has been recorded. Never had the drifting issue again.

so from where the issue ?
There were a few issues:
  • You decided to fly in a dangerous location
  • You didn't realize tall buildings can block the GPS signal
  • You did not realize your Mavic was drifting with the wind
  • You moved the right stick to the full left position -- causing the Mavic to move even faster toward the crash site

I just checked the OP's above link. It seems that the drone was drifting from 11.9 sec to 15.4sec without any input from the OP. All the log entries during the above mentioned move show as flight mode: "P-GPS"

I trying to understand how the log viewer works. Did the aircraft fly in ATTI mode during the above period?

it was only P-GPS, t's very strange and i didn't get any chance to control it in two seconds!!

Can you comment on the map of the flight - does the track correctly show what the aircraft actually did?
yes, this exactly what happened i start the motor then take off then forward then the aircraft start drift it self then crashed !!
all this in 17 sec.

There are a couple of things going on here. Magnetic interference was not an issue:

Comparing the GPS location with the location based on the IMU inertial calculations shows the following:

position.png

Note that there are no directional errors, which means no magnetic interference, but that the tracks differ in distance after the aircraft started to move to its left (SE). That, plus the unsteady GPS location reports, suggest poor GPS position lock. That is consistent with the GPS reporting:

state.png

The locked satellites total was dropping as low as seven, which is marginal. The GPS health value was 3, which is poor, even though the aircraft did not switch to ATTI (flycState 0), and remained in P-GPS (flycState 6). So GPS reception was a problem, but did not cause the flight excursion and crash. If you look at the aircraft response in terms of pitch/roll compared to stick inputs:

response.png

After takeoff, roll is steady around zero degrees with no aileron input while the pitch responds appropriately to the elevator input. As the aircraft climbs the FC rolls the aircraft right at 12 seconds, most likely to resist wind drift to its left, and holds position. But at around 15 seconds you applied full left aileron, twice, which is what caused the aircraft to cease correcting for left drift and then actively fly to its left. That appears to have been the direct cause of the crash, and it looks like pilot error.

For as long as drones have had GPS I have found it is best to let them sit on the ground a full minute or 2 to insure you get a good GPS signal lock, and to let the IMU sensors warm up properly.

As stated previously. watch the GPS signal strength. If it goes in and out while letting your drone sit on the ground for a minute after you turn it on, then be aware that it may not hold its position after take off.
If your in a confined area or for some other reason don't feel comfortable flying without GPS than don't take off.

Also note VPS warning for dark areas.

“The Home Point has been recorded. Please check it on the map.”
