My new Mavic 2 Pro will arrive Friday!

When your not able to take off and can’t understand why...... come here and ask
Any questions you like We’ll help

It might get Flusterating
Sometime it’s not so simple.

If all goes well and you get the bird to start
The first time you hear those blades on your new M2P start to spool up
Just take a moment ..........
the wind up
The feel the sound.

For what you have just done
Few get to experience
And you and your bird are going to have adventures
(This is no park flyer)

in one word ... Amazing.!

First time... no dogs ...no children... no people within 100m.....
Don't make it fly until it's ready ie full GPS mode
Enjoy....

Great thoughts on the subject. Fortunate to have one to fly. I was out this morning , great way to start the day.
Thanks for your thoughts here.
Clear skies!

  • Read the manual and familiarize yourself with the RTH function and how to set it properly.
  • Watch crash videos to learn from the mistakes of others.
  • Get a U3 rated micro SD card. Unless things have changed the supplied card is not good enough for 4K.
  • Use a pre-flight check list.
  • Tape some ribbon to your gimbal lock to make it obvious if left on.
  • Resist the urge to fly indoors if you can't go outside.
  • Trees are Mavic magnets. Start in a wide-open area free of obstacles.
  • Get comfortable with the controls and learn how to fly it before you mess with any special modes, including sport mode.
  • Locate the Pause button on the RC. It acts like an emergency brake and cancels stick input for a few seconds.
  • Enjoy!

Don't try the first flight in a tight back yard never mind indoors.
It flies very precisely but start off in a wide open space to get the feel.
Beware of getting over confident after a handful of flights.
Once it's a tiny spec it is very easy to get disorientated even if your video feed is good.

Guess what tomorrow is....FRIDAY....DRONE DELIVERY DAY....YAYYYYYYY.... best of luck and safety... since day one I took into account on not panicking when issues arise when flying. I do it to this day when "the RC gets disconnected" I stop, analyze the situation, react...without freaking out. I have not lost, crashed and always got the drone back....if you come close to something, tree, wall, etc. Stop, analyze, react. By panicing you may throw the stick the wrong way and crash... so if you stay calm and think it out....ok now, if I push the stick this way the drone will go into the tree...so calmly push the stick slowly into the correct direction and wala....saved get my point friend and good luck with a serious fun or money making Aircraft...
