I’m getting a Mavic Air tomorrow and I’m wondering if anyone has tried the DJI branded filters yet? I’m looking at getting either the Polar Pro standard 3-pack or the DJI ones when they’re available.

I’m not a professional by any means... I’m just looking for something to help keep my photos and videos from being washed out in bright sun or from water reflections when I am on the boat.

Is there a big difference between them?

The DJI ones are very good.

If you can find them. Polar pro seems to have the market and are readily available. I have been waiting over a month for the DJI ones.

Yeah I bought mine from heliguy in the UK. Wish the DJI ones did ND32 though

I did polar vivids after a lot of review. Appeared to be two real players and I read dji’s aren’t up to par with polars. Especially flying at higher speeds. Was an easy choice here for a first timer

Got a link so we can see what you're referring to?

Believe this is the thread. I read the dji ones are a collar whereas polars are full screw on. Mavic Air ND Filters

I haven’t read a single complaint on the new polars. You can’t cheap out here.

After tons of video reviews and posts, I found it pretty clear. I buy things once and buy what I deem to be the best. HoodMan landing pad is next

I hear you. I do this too with most things I buy. Once I find a product I like and a brand I trust, I usually continue to use that product (even if there are cheaper alternatives available).

When it comes to drone accessories though, I often try as many brands as I can of the same product (like camera filters). Polar Pro is a great brand and a good choice if anyone decides to choose them. I just wanted to throw out some of the other brands I've used and trust in case others who don't have as large of a budget and/or don't want to spend as much can find a good alternative.

The DJI filters screw on (just like PolarPro and all of the other brands I mentioned above). If interested, here's a video showing how the DJI filters work:

BTW, if you ever come across that link that explains how the DJI filters aren't up to par, I'm still interested in checking it out.

I’ve got a set on backorder at B&H right now but I saw today that Dell.com has them and their site says delivers by 3/21 so I’m going to place an order and see what happens. Won’t cancel my other pre-order until they ship though.

Ya I have only read good things in the pp vivid collection. Plus you can add more filters as well which I will for a 24

I can't quite wrap my head around the difference between vivid and cinema

PolarPro sells "Cinema" and "Standard" filters. Here's the difference:

"Vivid", "Shutter", and "Cinematographers" are names of their filter sets. A few of the sets contain PL filters.

I have the Polar Pro standard 3-pack. They do the job great for me. I had the cinema series for my Spark, I found that I pretty much only used the ND4/N8 most of the time so I went with the cheaper set this time around and splurged on additional batteries instead. No regrets thus far.

I am planning on waiting to see if NiSi come out with an air version of their 6 pack.
If nothing has been released in a couple of months I will most likely grab the Polar Pro option.
