I dont have the clamp on i try to calibrate and it failed help [emoji24]

What procedure did you follow to re-calibrate ?

Any chance some grit or dirt got inside the gimbal? Might try gently blowing it out with canned air.

Shaking.
As in wildly like a calibration ?
Or shaking like little jumps up and down badly ?

A few things that might help pin it down . . .

Did you leave the gimbal clamp on at any stage ?
Could be for a recent flight, and left on for more than a brief moment.

Do you use filters ?
If so, is this a recent change coinciding with problem ?

Is it a MP, or a MPP ??
If a MP, is there a chance you use 8331 Platinum props ?
Same question, recent change or when problem started ?

My MP did this not long after I bought it.
I had accidentally left the gimbal clamp n a couple of times, generally caught in during calibration and removed fast with no ill effects.

Then I accidentally left it on when flying in the field, for about 30 seconds of flight !!
That stuffed up the gimbal proper, all I got was gimbal overload errors, and it would calibrate then stop to just hang limply downward.

DJI actually looked after me on that, sent me a replacement.
I think it was a refirb, but the new drone has been a delight since then, and I have never left tthe gimbal clamp on again.
Even though it's second nature now to remove it, I did this when the new one arrived . . .

Nice cover Thomas.
I guess that could be another option to paint an old MP or MPP gimbal dome black.
You could still leave the cover on accidentally when starting up . . . especially when new to drones, but at least you couldn't generally take off with one like that still fitted.
You device screen would be blackout and you'd know pretty quick.
(Of course one can fly a MP / MPP without a viewing device, so I guess still a dangerous thing to happen. Is it the same for the M2P ?)

You could always attach some ribbon to your gimbal clamp as a reminder to remove it before use. About a foot (30cm) of red ribbon stands out against a grey drone.

Something similar happens to me with my M2P ... but it usually happens in full flight and more exaggerated in S mode and in smart modes .. Even DJI doesn't know why ...

That is bad.

If that was in warranty, DJI should replace it if they can't solve it.
As with everything, you can get a lemon even in the best of products . . . it's how the manufacturer deals with it is what is supposed to sort the wheat from the chaff.

I'm surprised DJI would want something like that out in use in a product supposedly a leader in cinematic video.

Maybe it has just slipped one of its rubber mounts
