Need simple way to narrate as I record a video

New Mavic Pro pilot here... with a simple question that I'm unable to find a simple answer to.

I would like to use a simple clip-on mic to my shirt and plug it into my iPad Mini 4 mic jack. Then, while running dji go4, narrate a 4k movie while flying the Mavic.

Every thing I find on you tube says I have to do the movie first then do a voice over and edit the movie, adding the voice. (I'm still learning to fly and editing looks pretty much a new skill set best to be tackled later if possible.)

Is it possible to simple record the movie and narrate sound at the same time using the above setup?
Any help REALLY appreciated!

GO4 can record from the mobile device's mic, so one can imagine if you plug in an external mic that will be used instead. Needs trying.

It would be easier and better to narrate during post-production. Most of the editing software packages will let you do this.
