Drove thru there June 2020. Did not even think to fly my drone there - should have. Did get some decent DSLR shots though.

Custer SP is kind of a semi-hidden gem.

You are allowed in State Parks in SD. There is a National forest near there that you are not allowed to take off and land in. State parks limitations vary by state. NYS you are not allowed to fly in a state park. SD you can.
