The increased potential to recover the drone after a water landing or crash with the flotation foam sets is a definite benefit in the event of a crash over water. I'm interested in the protection of the drone from water exposure, airborne and immersed.

It appears that the drone was powered on and the landing light was switched on after immersion and continued to operate for the remainder of the video. Is that correct? What was learned from the immersion?

I'd certainly have expected that there would have been short circuits after immersion. If water reached the circuit boards and electronic devices, it seems that the systems are just quite tolerant of fresh bathtub water, at least in the short term and a bare drone would have behaved similarly.

As I understand the wet suit, the air vents behind the gimbal are open and not sealed. The roots of the motor arms seem to present another water intrusion opportunity.

Are you suggesting that the wet suit actually prevent water from entering the interior? It's difficult to see how that could be accomplished without sealing the area behind the gimbal and blocking essential air flow for cooling.

We designed the Mavic 3 Rescue Jacket to Flip over so we could take advantage of the Landing Light to use as A Beacon.

This is critical for finding the Drone after a crash. At dusk is best.

The Mavic 3 Wet Suit helps maintain the Light by Protecting the Battery specifically the Power Button, as well as making sure the battery does not fall out, which the Wet Suit keeps Sealed shut.

This design allows the Rescue Jacket to keep a very low Center of Gravity on the Water however if it does flip that beacon light is critical to finding the drone in Open water. .

The Increased Visual Line of Sight is extraordinary and thus I find myself flying the Drone with the Rescue Jacket on at all times.

100 Degree flying is a lot with or without the Wet Suit , but the Only seal on the entire Air 2S wet Suit is the Battery Cover and that is optional,

When you do seal the Battery Cover an create that Air Tight seal the Temp raises 6 Degree on the battery and that would be tough in 100 Degree weather, but because the Battery Cover is Optional you have the option to use them as warranted.. .

In addition to cooling by airflow, drones reject heat by convection from the exterior of the shell. Any area that feels warm after a flight is rejecting heat during operation. Insulating the exterior surfaces reduces the cooling effect and increases interior temperature. (Whether that creates a problem is another thing.)
