new battery firmware

I got an extra battery for the mavic air. My question is, should I put it in the MA and repeat the firmware update? My MA is up to date on the original battery. Thanks all.

When you start DJI GO with that battery installed, you'll see this prompt if the battery firmware needs to be updated.

I've never once seen that error and yet I have never changed all 3 batteries when I update my mavic. Why is that?

The batteries are ‘smart’ as in they have their own firmware. It has to match the Air’s firmware & should automatically inform you that it needs updating

You will only see that message if the battery firmware needs to be updated.
