There is no cooling fan on the mini 3 Pro , I use neck fans when setting up or updating, cheers Len

If you are fiddling with settings and the drone is not flying it is a good idea to direct the output of a fan at the drone, as suggested above.

This has been the case with all the minis, and same with the other DJI aircraft without a fan.

Hi,and thanks for all replies.I was aware the minis dont have onboard fans but was being a bit cautious as the mini 2 never had this and never really got very hot,but I am going to follow the suggestions and will use a fan if doing updates and transfering photos.I am looking foward to using this drone .Once again thanks 🎅

I have updated my mini 3 and left it on whilst trying t get assistant 2 to work. It never seems to get that hot. When flying I aim to get it going straightaway to make best use of the battery. Even with the plus battery.

@thomasoes the overheating issue with the Mini 3 pro, is more pronounced than earlier versions, because there is a lot more going on internally, and all those components produce more heat ,the fact that it turns off is to protect ,those components

This has been a very annoying issue for many,, Me for one. lol

Keys that will help:
Update on a cooling vent.
Get in the Air as quick as you can .
Dont hover to long in the same spot.

and wish you get an Air 2S for Xmas

Gear to fly in the Rain.

I use a fan I took from a PC and point it at the frount of the drone.
Thought it would be better blowing air in the drone 🤷‍♂️
