New Firmware

To get the gimbal jumping you have to walk with the drone/really move it horizontally a few cm.
You should be able to clearly feel the jump and hear it clicking, even when the fan is running.

Justy tested! Absolutely no issue at all whatsoever.

Recorded a video:
All I see is that its trying to maintain the same horizon view, its not going to be rigid; the gimbal is doing what its supposed to do.

Recorded a video:
Record a video with the drone while you're walking with the drone and the movement happens. Does the recorded image bounce when the gimbal movement happens or does it remain steady?

No its not.
It should move smooth without these jumps, as it did with the old firmware.
If you record a video like this its unusable, because the actual image jumps around.

If you just move the drone around it's axis without moving horizontally, it can keep the horizon level without problem.

@L3gion, I tried moving the drone forward and backward a few inches and noticed the gimbal pitching up and down slightly. There's no audible click, but I can feel the gimbal jump and see it move clearly. It's very obvious when the drone is moved forward and backward repeatedly, but I've seen it happen with side-to-side motion, too. Also when I yaw the drone back and forth, the gimbal sometimes yaws a bit in the same manner.

Would others with the Mavic 4 Pro see if you find the same thing?

I've also noticed that since updating to v01.00.0300, the automatic transition from camera to camera when zooming does not occur. Are others seeing the same thing?

Folks, here is a video of my M4P when moving it around in my hands (with rotors off), you could see those tiny jerks and hear the clicking especially at the beginning and towards end of the video. While I don't see any gimbal related issues while inflight, but I am 100% I was not having this issue with previous 0200 firmware.

What bothers me more, is this drone jerking when having it in follow-me mode, I did not make any changes to obstacle avoidance, or braking, and again, I don't remember it doing it with 0200 firmware. I am about to downgrade it back to 0200 using the DJI Assistant 2 (hope it lets me) and will test if these go away. Will report back shortly

Automatic transition from camera to camera is working flawlessly in mine; I just checked it out this very minute. Each transition obviously stops the video and starts a new one with the new lens.

You guys must have drones from a bad batch, its all I can think of.

And I just redid the test and it definitely works fine, no gimbal issues in left/right up/down, forward or backwork, no clicks just regular gimbal's expected movements only.

Okay folks, just finished downgrading FW back to v .0200, and guess what, no more gimbal jerking/clicking! operates perfect! I am yet to test POI follow-me mode inflight, its just dark here, gotta wait till morning for that!

UPDATE: DHP works with v.0200 as well! Not sure why were they advertising it as v.0300 addition

Got further updates. So I tried the POI follow-me mode just now, and works flawlessly, no jerking, drone follows and avoids obstacles as expected! Not sure if this issue is something "batch related" as mentioned here earlier, but for me, I am sticking with v.0200 until they release a new one that works for me. I did not notice anything new while on v.0300 myself, DHP works just like on one I have there now, as for that camera auto transition, I tried to test that one. Maybe I was doing something wrong, but did not find it working any different. when switching cameras, video recording stops and I have to resume manually

I have done the firmware to .300 on 2 M4p's. I checked gimbal movement before and after with no noticeable difference. Checked yaw, pitch and roll and seems the same and no noise or clicking. The only thing it does is a gimbal reset when it gets to about 60° of roll.

@L3gion,

Mine is also not switching automatically during recording. If I start zooming with the right wheel from 1X it stops at 2.5X. That is all, I have to activate 2.5X on the screen to continue. Is there anything else I am missing? I am at 300 on the M4P and 400 on the controller. I also have done the DJI Fly app. Will try my other M4P.

@PINEBARON and others with camera zoom switching working properly, would you confirm that your drone and RC 2 controller firmware versions and the Fly app version match what I have, which seem to be the latest version for each?

Thanks.
