New FW Mavic 4 Pro

Thanks. Updated!

New FW dropped, notting exciting.
I wouldn’t be too sure about that. DJI has a nasty habit of embedding Trojan Horses into what appear to be innocuous FW updates that later self-activate, based upon a specific date and or GPS location. Witness all the EU C0 changes that suddenly appeared on all C0 drones in the UK on January 1, 2026 with any new FW! Hard height limits of 120m everywhere, and speed reductions as well.

Thanks, did not know that.

seems like they fix the gimbal twitching issue when not in flight
The carrot to entice us to update! LOL!
Candidly, that is a feature I wanted, as the Mavic 4 Pro makes a great done for terrestrial photos and video while handheld, with the motors off.

Interesting, never tried that. The looks one would get using a drone in place of an Mirrorless SLR taking wedding photos 🤣

Probably the same looks as showing up with only an iPhone for the professional wedding photography, except it is a more professional looking $4,000 gimbal setup, where the camera can fly, too!

Pinebaron, are you having any problems retrieving files from either the internal storage, or the SD media card? Are you using a Mac or PC? See my post at: Firmware v01.00.0500 Problem
Haven't used my drone following the latest update, I'm using my ancient PC at this time.

I have updated mine with the latest, but I have not had a chance to try anything with it. I will check to see if I am
experiencing any of the above issues soon, will jump in here to report.

If you have recently upgraded your Mavic 4 Pro to the latest firmware of 01.00.0050, please check to see if you can still connect your drone to a computer and download files, or you can still use a USB card reader to read files from the SD card. This firmware update seems to have broken my ability to do so. See: Firmware v01.00.0500 Problem

I'm on the latest .500 firmware and can confirm that there are no issues regarding transferring the files via USB cable to my Mac computer. Drone is immediately connected and recognised by the OS as "internal drive".
