Hi everyone , decided I wanted to try a drone as it looks like fun and will get me outdoors instead of the pub , so I ordered a dji mavic mini , seemed to be the most sensible place to start.
I have since spent most of the day watching tutorials and reading your posts , so I will be better prepared when it arrives on Tuesday.
there appears to be a lot of clued up members whom are really helpful to novices , nice to see ,
I am looking forward to being part of the mavic community.

Welcome to the forum! :)

Welcome to the forum. I also fly a Mavic Mini and have enjoyed many flights. You will find helpful suggestions and support in the forums. We look forward to your view of the world.

Welcome! You are correct that folks here are extremely helpful.

Take your time learning the flight controls, what each icon does, RTH function, know where the drone is using the directional icon on the controller, and how to fly the drone going away from and toward you.

cheers fella , my only real concern is the orientation of the drone , i.e. remembering which way is forward , im sure the controller has an indication at the bottom of the flight sreen ?
ive been reading so many posts and items on the net ive probably flooded my wee brain somewhat...
