Hi to all mavic owners just like to say thanks for the add and look forward to flying my new mavic air.Just doing all the prep at the moment updates and gaining knowledge by running through all the stats on the settings.The hardest part with the settings is all the camera settings as I ain't any form of a camera person but time will tell .

Welcome to the forum! That photo was taken with your Mavic Air? Nice! I'm assuming that you were holding it, not flying in front of the dog's face!

I picked up a Mavic Air a little before Christmas. It's a very impressive little machine. There are so many settings that you can't possibly learn them all with just one read through the manual. The best you can do is know that they are there, then as you gain experience you can experiment. I started out simple and have learned a little bit with each flight. Now I'm going out as far as 2500 feet and 397 feet of altitude and very comfortable flying from the screen. I'm also paying attention to be more graceful and cinematic with my controls while shooting video. The spherical pano is positively amazing. You get to that from camera settings - you'll find it on youtube. Read, read and read more on the forums. Spend some time reading the Lost and Found forum about people who have lost or crashed their drones. Learn from their mistakes!!
