New MA2 batteries and updates

Do new batteries always require an update. I wasn't alerted to any update on the first battery. I haven't charged the other 2 yet.

I just got mine as well and haven't had any battery updates, just the standard firmware updates. I did see somewhere to charge all three batteries fully using the single charger before using the three-wide charger.

Yeah, they may brick if you don't, I got lucky and used the strip and it still worked. Software bug I suppose.

the battery in the drone during an update get updated at the same time then when you put the other two in the drone it will tell you if they need an update or not

I had a battery update for my second battery, but not the first. I wasnt notified about the update until I was out in the field about to go up for my third time.

I only have 2 batteries so far, both needed an update . one that came with the drone, 2nd was ordered separately.
