New Mavic Mini

I have just ordered a Mavic Mini. The main reason is its portability being able to just throw it in a backpack.
I am more used to my Mavic Zoom although by no means an expert.

Apart from being aware of wind is there anything I need to consider when flying the Mini or will it be like the Zoom but without all the extra functions?

flies pretty much the same as any other Mavic ,as you say has less features than its bigger brothers ,but quite honestly ,the first time you play back some video you cant believe how good it is for its size
i use mine to compliment the capabilities of my MPP, its great for close up work ,like flying in forest among the trees ,and even better now you can select hover or land instead of only RTH if signal is lost, its main failing is a lack of ability in wind to make headway ,but if you are aware of this and dont push the envelope then you will be fine

I prefer the Go app (P3) and the Go4 app (borrowed M2P) to the Mini's fly app and there is the phone compatibility issues with the Fly app that you shoud check out. As regards the drone itself I think the MM is great, to me and except for the wind thing, it's like a more stationary-in-a-hover P3

Just remember that there are no obstacle avoidance sensors on the mini and fly accordingly.

Worth to note, the MM has no OcuSync, so here you could experience differences in connection behavior. However MM turned out in several tests to provide a great perfomance in distance. CE version is specified with 2km, in reality it makes even about 3km ( )
