New Mavic owner

Been a member over at phantom pilots for the l act year.
Just upgraded from a modded p3s which is still a great ac. But felt the need to move up and wife gave to me early.
I want to run my Asus tab. I tried hooking up from the usb port on rc to micro usb on tab But nothing. If I connect through dji micro port on rc then it's fine. I just need to buy a longer cable thus the reason I was trying to connect through the usb. I thought I saw someone hooked up through that. Is there a setting to change? If I have to buy then what's it exactly called?
Looking forward to learning all about this as and it's capabilities.

Nah, no settings to change. You can use the USB out to your tablet....Just make sure if you do so, the other cable is not plugged into the side of the remote at the same time...

I've tried it but still nothing via large usb. Tablet works from small usb but cable is too short.
What would the cable exactly be called? The small usb plug into the remote and then the one into my Asus Tablet?
I see many options and scared to buy wrong one and or fry something.
