Bought used a garage sale
No remote
Can I fly without
Also trying to charge flying unit with micro c
Have no idea how to check if charging or battery still good
Any ideas

Dreamed to have one
I live off grid and would love to survey the mountains in my 40 acres
Thank u in advance or for anytime you took to read this

I guess I will be the only one to state the obvious! Not a smart move! Buying a drone without a controller, not even asking the seller the basic questions, not asking to see the drone fly, not doing any research whatsoever? I could go on and on. come on! I don't think you should do anything until you but a controller and do some research on this.

How do I but a controller

You might contact the Colorado Springs Drone user group and see if you can meet up with some of them and maybe one of them will have the stuff you need for testing. its only about a 30 mile drive?
Omg how helpful
Yes cos is close
Thank you!!!!

As I said, I will be the only one to state the obvious. I doubt prayer will help either. The fact that an individual would buy such a potent device with no clue whatsoever is scary. And I did state, "I don't think you should do anything until you buy a controller and do some research on this."

You know remotes for your Drone ( RC-N1 ) are dirt cheap on Ebay around 45-60 Bucks I would grab one of those and then you can see if the Drone will work at all. The Air2S and Air 2 have the advantage of using the cheapest Batteries DJI Makes for a Drone that size. You can get re-furbs on ebay also with very few cycles used for around 50 bucks ( each of your Batteries will give you around 200 cycles IF you treat it properly). A Battery in a Drone at a garage sale is probably long gone.
Now worst case and you do all this and the Drone won't fly- Come back to the forum and we will try to help.
What did you pay for the Drone? cause the gimbals alone for parts will net you around 200. thats if it never flys ( Just thinkin ahead).

You can also utilize the “ignore” button and not have to look at posts that really shouldn’t be there anyway. Easy to do. Click on their name, then click the “ignore” button.
Be safe and have fun!

You aren't the only one, just the only one with no tact andnho help.
Those thoughts were covered back in post #4 (five hours before you blundered into the thread.

I don't think Dale's advice was intended as criticism.

My observation is that many newcomers to the hobby are willing to fork out not insignificant money without researching beforehand, or they purchase a drone and do not read the manual or get the manual from the Internet to read.

These forums have a wealth of information for newcomers but can be intimidating to search/wade through.

Many new forum posters mistakenly assume drones are simple to use, like turning on the new TV, never mind the cabling if you want to hook up more devices.

I had a P2V and later bought an M2P....I spent many hours reading the manuals and following discussions to ensure a happy introduction to my drones.

Hey
Thank you for making me feel better after being immediately chastised by Dale on my new owner thread
Update
I bought battery, and charger
Guess what, after charging drone and battery the drone turns on all lights work and motor nice smooth sound!
It ordered my controller cord to phone gamble protector and led landing gear and light on top yesterday for 130 dollars approximately, some used product and some of it new
I am sooo excited!
