New Mavic Pro owner/pilot from Michigan

Hello all, Happy Holidays!
I’m looking forward to learning all about/how to fly my new Mavic Pro.
BRAND NEW pilot here,and I don’t want to be the next victim of user/rookie error if I can help it.
I’ve watched many how to/ intro tutorials/ videos online, and would like to know if there are any recommendations or MUST SEE-1st Flight- checklist videos.
I would like to fly on a simulator, is the ONLY one out there the one that requires you to use your Mav.Pro-controller and power up the Drone as well just to use it?.
It’s currently -1 degrees here in S.E. Michigan, how cold is TOO cold for these Batteries to fly in..? (Yes I’m aware of the min.68deg.Battery temp to fly)
