New member from Barking, London, UK. I originally had the Parrot couple of years back but then sold it as it did not fly well. After so many years, I am back with Mavic Mini 2 which I just purchased yesterday. Looking forward to taking some great vacation shots.

Hi, I have just bought a Mavic Mini 2 and passed the CAA flyer ID even though it's not a requirement yet for sub 250g drones. I was under the impression that you can fly drones over public parks (just for test actually) as they are not built up areas, however the CAA guide says recreational...

Power-lines & trees are evil.
Don't expect RTH (Return To Home) to save you especially if you are under trees.

I am back with Mavic Mini 2 which I just purchased yesterday

Here are some things to help you get started with your Mini 2:

• The current Mini 2 manual can be downloaded here (it doesn't come in the box). Other important documents can be found on the Mini 2 downloads page.
  
  
• Check out this getting started guide for some tips not found in the Mini 2 manual.
  
  
• Your drone batteries will last longer if you use and maintain them like this.
  
  
• Practice flying outdoors in a wide open location that's free of all obstacles. Don't attempt to fly inside your house or in other confined locations.
  
  
• The drone records flight data each time you fly. You can decrypt and view those flight logs with these tools.
  
  
• Check out MavicHelp.com for commonly used accessories you might need.

Welcome Jumper1, I'm interested in where you fly, being from London and all. We are planning a trip to the Cotswolds, Lake District, Scotland, London, so any experience you have flying in those areas would be appreciated.

Thanks @Papabri . I am in Barking, so zone 4 East London. I am just trying public parks for now. I am going on a trip to Devon during Christmas where I intend to fly the most. I am hoping for empty highlands and beaches there.
