I am sorry to hear that the owner did not un-bind the drone before selling… If by chance, the seller cannot or will not un-bind the drone, You are up the proverbial creek, DJI will do nothing to help, They issued this notice to potential second hand buyers…Interesting. There may be bits and peices on the US webaite that dont appear on the UK site. I'll steer clear of any firmware downloads however as there will probably be issues.
The mini is definatly bound to the sellers account so I'm in contact with the guy. The Pro is a bit more complicated as the drone is refusing to link to my phone for data transfere. It talks to the controller and the drone fly's but no camera view. Having fun.....
Which DJI app are you trying to use with the Mavic pro? If it's DJI FLY: no wonder you're stuck. The original Mavic pro (and the Mavic 2) use DJI GO4.Hi. Many thanks for taking the time to write this intro to owning and flying. I believe there is always something to learn from others, experience. Both drones where second hand and where aquired at pretty low bids. I have built drones from scratch in the (very) distant path and decided I'd get one that worked first time without, tinkering. Also the abilities of the modern drones are far superior to the 'Model T's' that I put together. For a start they now have cameras. I didn't know about the bonding process relating to the DJI account. I have now contacted the sellers to check if they actually, unbound them. Now off to search for more info.
Cheers, Kev.
