New Mini 3 pro gets warm - I’ve just received my Mini 3 pro, I’ve noticed that when I wasn’t in flight the body of the drone gets warm. Is this normal?
I don't have a Mini 3, but inside there are processors and an IMU that does a lot of work even while not flying. I suspect that DJI has taken airflow in flight to help keep things cool. Also, ground temps can make a lot of difference. I'm just spitballing here, but once you turn you drone on it's doing something to prepare for you to fly.
All DJI drone models gets warm when powered but not airborne ... even those with an internal fan. None of the drones in the Mini series have a fan built in though ... so the temp will rise very quickly if just sitting powered on so that should be avoided. If doing firmware updates on the desk it's a good idea to have some sort of fan blowing on it otherwise it can overheat.
