Hello all! I've been looking into getting a drone for the past two years now, and I finally made the decision to invest in one. I just bought a DJI refurbished Mavic Air. My life consists of constant travel, but I wanted the capability of 4k as well as long flight time. The living situation is me + mine and a little one in a camper van, so the pro was a bit too much. I decided to go with the fly more combo to get a jump on aerial videography. I already have 2 trips planned with this drone, one to South Central Colorado for 4 days and another to South Eastern Florida for another 4 days. The plan is to capture as much footage as I can and practice my video skills and flying skills for the future. YouTube has been my teacher, so I have a good feeling this will be a fun hobby for time to come.

Fly straight shots with slow movement.

Fly different patterns of the same Point of Interest.
Create a mental shot list. Orbit, Fly away. Fly over birdseye view. Fly up to and stop. Fly from near ground level upwards, etc.

Then you can take those quick clips and slice and dice.

You nailed the 4 K capability with your purchase , but not the long flight time and distance will be limited as a result.

That's the reason why I got the fly more combo. Figured I’d get the extra batteries and the bulk charger with it. I also saw some distance tests in the same conditions/rural setting I plan to be flying in, and some I've seen go well over two miles. I don't plan on going that far out for the shots I want haha. The Pro was very attractive, but I’d rather wait and see what DJI comes up within the next 5-7 years. With the Air, I can get my drone flying and videography skills proficient enough to get higher grade equipment later to expand on it.

Welcome to the forum! :)
