After taking off, you can manually reset the home point to your Mavic's current location or to your mobile device's current location. The latter requires that your mobile device has a GPS receiver. You'll find those settings here in DJI GO:

... and if you use Litchi you can move the home point to anywhere you want after you have taken off, without the need to fly the Mavic there first.
