New to drones

Bought a Mavic Air with all the trimmings, off for a wander around. Looking forward to going out to play, when the wind is not gusting to 35mph. Difficult deciding which drone to buy, was a toss up between the Pro and the Air. Thought the pro was over the top for a first drone. Choice of manufacturer was easy, I had a go with a mates Mini, and was astounded.

It looks like Tuesday before it settles down again - it’s frustrating. Good opportunity for studying the manual. I’m two years in with an M2P and still trying to remember everything.

Just had mine out at an old
Disused airfield was wee bit gusty!
Kept it to very low and played with active track,still getting use to drone

You really picked a winner in the Mini. Don't be put off by its small size and low price. It's a high performance quad with a great camera.

Be aware that the Mini doesn't handle wind as well as the heavier drones, so be careful flying in high winds. Read the manual, and practice using "Find My Drone". Chances are you'll crash and/or lose your Mini. Don't wait until that happens to learn how to recover a lost drone.

Lots of neat stuff to shoot all over the UK. Whenever you need help, there are over 100,000 of us here to provide guidance as you grow as a pilot and photographer. Just ask!
