New York Flatiron Building

Notify a few heliports and it’s all legal.

Fly straight down the West Side Highway cut across Times Square, shoot up midtown all within @3.5 mile range.

With the goggles on, off the roof, you can’t tell me what I can’t do.

NYC is the best but just be mindful of helicopters sheeeesh

Is that actually true? I'd like to know so I could fly too
Certain parts of Manhattan

Do your homework, practice, practice, learn what you can on airspace, don’t forget it’s people below.
Flying over crowds can get tricky, it’s only reckless if you crash.

The roof of your building is not city property unless you reside in P.J’s

Please don’t crash if you decide to fly

Helicopters helicopters helicopters be on the look out constantly. If you notify the heliport have I.d, when the NYPD come just hold your composure and be on private property. A UAS Pilot’s Guide to (not) Talking to the Tower

I’ve never received a letter from the faa, the NYPD has always been professional.

Now are these taken with a drone, or from a helicopter like your other shots? You need to come clean and tell us what you are using when you post photos, in order not to confuse the law abiding members that use and read this forum. You're not doing anyone any good if you try and pass off helicopter flown shots with a DSLR type camera, as supposed drone photos. Be kind, and be honest please, otherwise moderators may well ban you from posting..

Absolutely love Manhattan and the burroughs. Visited for the first time in 2002 for a week. Used nothing but the subway and we went to the end of every main line. People were great and it is like being in a differnt country. As a lifelong left coaster it kind of ruined my visits to SF for a while. If you haven't been, go.
