New York Flatiron Building

Certain parts of Manhattan

Do your homework, practice, practice, learn what you can on airspace, ...

This is why I am in favor of making it illegal for anyone to purchase a drone and just fly it, its on the table for proposal, which we should see in a year or more.

it seems like a setup to destroy the recreation or drones, making a "fad" for the masses (what it has become in the past few years) and youre guaranteed to have fk-ups ruining the recreational aspect of droning, simply due to the fact that, without any knowledge or training... but I digress...

so much idiocracy on these public message boards, people coming for spoon fed information on critical knowledge thats clear in the manual. users here spreading misinformation and confusing others, due to some childlike emotional connection you have to the fact that youre uninformed.

zero accountablility for ignorance, completely unprofessional and truly childlike which have created the douche chill inducing "drone bro" personalities that have sprung up, some of you with that same attitude have.

and without regard in respecting the unnatural fact that you are FLYING and then some try to reinforce stupidity, confusing the weak even more.

know your flight locations' laws and bylaws, be a student of your hobby, or else no drone for u!

its going to happen soon, and this type of quote will be the norm

"why cant I just fly a drone?"
"study, study, study"

It’s very easy to prohibit something. Very hard to overturn later. I prefer to let law abiding people do their things and punish law breaking people on case by case basis.
Law abiding people doesn’t have to suffer or jump through extra hoops just case few bad apples.

Prohibition or strict regulations not an answer. Alcohol, guns and drugs your perfect example. Fireworks anyone?

As with everything in this life. Use common sense.

Since mid 2014 I’ve been in the drone game. I’m on a 4 year streak (Inspire 1 & 2) with 0 crashes and only light in house repairs. Between 2 drones. Most forum members don’t last 6 months.

Somewhere in this thread I posted a video flying in NYC
Most my NYC footage was done between 2015 and 2016. Wasn’t no rules.
If you have police contact with the NYPD you go on the terrorist watch list.
From there your info and registration gets sent to the FAA.

If I fly off the roof of my building and can’t be charged with a city ordinance so be it. Talk to the mayor if you feel butt hurt.

Drunk pilots and low flying helicopters is my only real concern

The NYPD and FAA enforce the law.

all the Laws and rules in the world have never stopped the idiots and bad guys from wrecking it for the average law a bidding citizen.

Stick and stones may break my bones but word will never hurt:cool:

Go fly safely

If it wasn’t for the stupidity or lack of intelligence of the average person, we’d all be whizzing about in flying cars by now.
