Hi guys, I am kinda interested in Mavic Mini and was reading the reviews (else where) seems like there is some connectivity issue where most of the time it fails to pass 1.5 kilometer - 1.7 kilometer range and often has connectivity issue but the specs says it can go up to 4 KM range. I know that we need to consider the surrounding area and that will determine the range but although the drone is flown in areas where there is no buildings and people, it still has connectivity issue.

This is the cheapest drone from DJI family and the rest are not in the affordable price range. So guys, do advise me if the so called range extender will be helpful ?

Just wondering why you would want to fly a Mini past 1.5 kilometres ?
Not getting into the Line Of Site thing but I like to be able to see my drones when I fly them

1.5km is more than enough to fly your quad, don't get too hung up on all the hype about transmission distance! The Mini is a fantastic little quad that far exceeded my expectations! Good luck and happy flying! ??

The Mini is a great machine. We have over 100,000 members around the world who are here to help you grow as a pilot and photographer. I fly the M2P, and don't use a range extender. Of course, here in the US we use FCC mode, which gives us greater range.

Agree with you. We can't always see the tiny drone with our naked eyes but it would be great if I can view it on my mobile phone when it's far just like Mavic Air 2
