Hey all. It's been years since I've flone a drone (P2) and my brother had the mavic pro. I'm looking at the mavic air and I had a question. I may be mistaken but I think he can hook his iPad up to the controller using his existing lighting cable (USB) Can I do that with the air controller or do I go lightning to mini usb?

Welcome to the forum!

You can connect a Lightning cable (or USB Type-C cable) between any supported Apple device and the USB port on the bottom of the Mavic Air remote controller.

Ok cool then I wont order a longer cable from Amazon and use my iPad cable (or get a smaller one)

Don't forget tho' that you need to completely remove the cable on the side (micro-USB 'A') port to allow that alternate cable to connect.
