Newbie Question

When I get my Mavic it will be my first drone. I've heard you should not fly near power wires. I have an area I'm thinking about flying it and there are power wires about 1/2 mile away. Will I be ok to fly in this area?

Schould not be a problem. One of the concerns is iterferrence with the remote signal. And if the signal is lost your drone will just return to home. Just make shure that your rth flying hight is higher than the lines if you loose your signal on the other side of the lines.
