Newbie with questions.

Hello folks. I’ve been bitten by the drone bug!
Had a weekend trip just to get away and the wife found a fella that gives drone flying on the beach “lessons”... well needless to say I have the drone sickness! So I’ve been looking at them ever since. We flew Mavic Air and I loved it. So my thoughts are get one! Now I’ve looked at DJI.com, and find them with more accessories for same price on Amazon. My question is if purchased through Amazon are the warranties still good?
What I’m looking at is the Air and the fly more bundle. The Amazon is the same but has a few more things to go with it for same price!
Any thoughts for the new guy?

Ok I dug some on my own question.... from DJI they’re saying as long as the dealer is an authorized dealer then it’s covered under warranty!

Is there a Best Buy nearby? If you could by it in person you'd certainly have the return policy of the store available to you as well as the dji warranty .. Personally, I had to return mine inside 14 days and walked out the store that minute with a brand new one which flies perfectly
Do your Google research... There have been plenty of issues. . Obviously, more not than with however its enough issues that it would be wise to cover all avenues. .. This IS a purchase from China....

Yes sir still researching.... I’m the type that will research it to death, heck DJI might come out with another version before I buy!
Who am I kidding it’s going to happen very soon, like I said I’ve been bitten! I’m already looking around and thinking I could fly my drone and see things better!

Ok I dug some on my own question.... from DJI they’re saying as long as the dealer is an authorized dealer then it’s covered under warranty!

That is correct. DJI may honor the warranty either way but only from the authorized dealer is their official stance.

DJI has a contract with authorized sellers that states that they all need to sell for the same price. Non-authorized dealers were getting product and selling for slightly less. Of course, this stole sales from the authorized dealers and authorized dealers complained to DJI. So DJI came up with this official policy to help curb this issue.

Mine buys sewing machines. She has 4 computerized embroidery machines, a quilting machine, a surger and of course a regular sewing machine. Then again, if you add all my drones plus 5 cameras, I'm slightly ahead.
BTW - we're not well to do, lots of folks have big fancy houses and cars, we live in the sticks in a trailer and drive older cars with 150k+ miles on them, toys are more fun than a nice house and fancy car IMHO.. Hey, you can't take it with you.

Thanks to OJ picked it up at Best Buy! So the deal was the fly more package and a cute little Tello...
Thing is there’s no control for the Tello, I’m guessing the Air controller works with it, or I have to buy something for it!

Welcome to the club.
The tello only needs a phone to fly, I use an iPad mini

You fly the tello with a phone or tablet. You can get a controller for it, but none is needed.

Good to hear you got both. Highly recommend flying the tello A LOT before flying the Air. The tello is a great flyer indoors if that's an option.

So what app is needed for the tello!
The “deal” was you buy the fly more and they give you the tello. That’s from DJI. Could have left the fly more off then they give a second battery. Believe me I tried to get the battery with the fly more to give me a 4th battery. And no Tello but they weren’t having any part of that.

You just download the tello app from App Store if you have iPhone or play store for android
