Cool sky.
Have a bushwalking mate that lives just a little way west of the school there, we've walked from his house a few times to walk the tracks through Black Hill Conservation Park many times in the past.
It's a great little workout in the park up there

I agree, there are plenty of tough walks through the conservation park. My wife and I are regulars. Pity you can’t fly drones in National Parks, hey?

True, but you can over them
Maybe other state Parks depts will go the way of QLD Parks (never been banned) and WA (recently overturned bans).

I was waiting for you to fly up to the top of Black Hill actually, then realised nice views over Black Hill was the sky / clouds

MAvic_South_Oz, it’d be great if they did change the National Park rules. Here’s hoping. I’ve changed my title to more accurately reflect the content of the footage.

Maybe it'll take a challenge to the park policy to make a change happen, I'm ok flying remote parks like the Simpson Desert, and more isolated coastal parks both SE and West coasts, just keep away from people and out of the very popular parks in the hills, weekends etc at Belair NP are out for sure.

We'll have to get together sometime for a fly, or maybe a walk up the hill.
There have been a few South Aussies on the forum, but not a lot of active members.

Probably into early June . . .
I've got a stupidly busy 2 weeks before Brisbane again, 2-1/2 weeks up there then back 5 days, then head to NT Simpson for a 12 day trip with 7 day remote crossing.
Last trip up in the region I'd only had a few flights with the MP (first drone), had an early gimbal malfunction leaving clamp on :/
So missed some great opportunities up there.
Ready this time, even taking back up Spark just in case

MAvic_South_Oz, yeah, I’m pretty much the same. Early on in the piece I took some footage in Mt Crawford/Kuitpo Forest but now I’m a bit more reluctant. I’m considering getting my drone licence so I try to do the right thing when droning.
My first drone was a Spark. I’ve taken that overseas twice. It’ll probably be my default travel drone. I’ve only recently upgraded to the Air.
Good luck with your NT trip. Plenty of great opportunities there I’d imagine.
Give me a buzz when you get back. I’m in Bali in early June for 2 weeks.
